ESPN announced that longtime sports anchor Stuart Scott has died at the age of 49 after a long battle with cancer. This year he was honored with the ESPYs Jimmy Valvano Perseverance Award. In his remarks he said, “When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer,” Scott told the audience. “You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.”
