Obama Urges Congress to Pass Budget, Avoid Shutdown

As lawmakers gets set to return from their summer recess, President Barack Obama warned Congress that he would veto any budget that he said could harm the economy. "If Congress wants to support working Americans and strengthen our middle class, they can pass a budget that invests in, not makes cuts to, the middle class," he said in his weekly address on Saturday (September 5).
