In October, she was invited to perform at New York's storied poetry mecca, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. "Self-destruction" is a piece that was written to bring awareness and hopefully a solution to the violence going on with Chicago youth. Ironically, the only solution to this self-destructing culture is to self-destruct ourselves in a way that is sacrificial for the greater good.
