Kendrick Lamar in the Lead With Most 2016 Grammy Award Nominations

The 2016 Grammy Award nominees were announced on Dec. 7, 2015 with rap artist Kendrick Lamar leading the tally with 11 nominations including "Song of the Year," "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance," and "Best Rap Album." Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly” goes head-to-head against Taylor Swift’s “1989” and The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness “for Album of the Year, both of whom are tied in second for most nominations with seven nods each. The 58th Grammy Awards will air on Feb. 15, 2016 at 8 pm Eastern time on CBS.
