81-Year-Old Great-Grandmother, Grandson Injured in Drive by Shooting in Chicago
A great-grandmother and one of her grandchildren were wounded in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side Friday. Iola Buress, 81, was attending visitation for her late daughter at a funeral home. The family returned home around the corner to relax on the front porch when someone drove by and opened fired. Iola was struck in her wrist and abdomen. Her 34-year-old grandson, Sylvester, was struck in the hip.
