"Self-destruction" is a piece that was written to bring awareness and hopefully a solution to the violence going on with Chicago youth. Ironically, the only solution to this self-destructing culture is to self-destruct ourselves in a way that is sacrificial for the greater good.

Raise Up is an online hip hop and spoken word competition for youth ages 15-22. Youth who enter are asked to speak on the national high school drop out crisis. Five individual winners will each receive a $5,000 educational scholarship and a trip to Washington DC to perform at the Kennedy Center on September 28.
