Donald Trump calls for ‘total shutdown’ of Muslims entering US
GOP front-runner Donald Trump is standing his ground after proposing a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” in the wake of recent terror attacks. His comments drew a standing ovation at a Trump rally, but immediate condemnation from critics, many of them Republicans. NBC national correspondent Peter Alexander reports for TODAY.
