Surveillance Video Shows Cleveland Police Officer Shoot 12-Year-Old
Cleveland police have released surveillance video showing 12 year old Tamir Rice being shot by an officer who has just exited a moving patrol car. Rice was alleged to have 'brandished' a bb gun. The video clearly shows the car had just stopped moving when the boy was shot. There is no audio on the video. This version was played at a news conference.
Chicago Activists Call for Action Against Police Brutality
Seventeen-year-old teen Laquan McDonald was killed by a Chicago Police officer after allegedly puncturing car tires on the city’s Southwest Side. Pat Camden, spokesman for the Fraternal Order of Police, told the media Tuesday that the teen had refused repeated requests to drop his knife and gazed blankly at officers with “a 100-yard stare.”
In Spring Valley, SC a school resource officer has been removed from the school and placed on administrative leave after video surfaced of this incident in which a student is dragged from a classroom. The incident is under investigation.
